Exhibition “Fleeting Moments” with Jaana Myöhänen | April 1 – September 30, 2026

The Nouvel Art Showroom in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is hosting “Instants fugaces,” an exhibition running from April 1 to September 30, 2026, featuring photographer Muriel Pénicaud and sculptor Jaana Myöhänen. Two mediums, two unique sensibilities, and a shared focus on the fleeting presence of people and objects.

Muriel Pénicaud’s photographs capture the poetry of life’s moments in all their forms. They do not seek the spectacular; rather, they reveal the ordinary beauty of gestures and glances and invite each viewer to tell their own story. In some photographs, the material takes precedence over the subject, giving free rein to the viewer’s imagination, thus echoing the abstraction found in the works of Jaana Myöhänen. Some of her sculptures evoke the female form—forms in balance, bursting forth, exaltation. Starting in 2013, her work shifted toward abstraction: her “cloud-sculptures,” with their ever-sensual curves, assert a presence that is both light and carnal.
