In Cielo In Terra at the Civico Museo Parisi Vall, Italy

From March 29 to June 29, 2026, the Civico Museo Parisi Valle will host In Cielo In Terra, Muriel Pénicaud's first major solo exhibition in Italy. This is also the first time that the museum has devoted an entire exhibition to photography. The exhibition is curated by the museum's director, Federico Crimi.

For curator Federico Crimi, "in an era of profound mutual misunderstanding, exploring worlds different from our own is a necessity. " It is this conviction that led the Civico Museo Parisi Valle to open, for the first time in its history, an exhibition entirely devoted to photography, offering the public a broad, profound, and poetic view of the entire world: that of Muriel Pénicaud.

The exhibition, featuring more than seventy black-and-white works, is divided into four sections—trees, birds, humanity, and landscapes—inviting visitors to inhabit the world poetically, between heaven and earth. In this journey, Muriel Pénicaud does not choose the spectacular, but rather the poetry of ordinary moments. Her gaze opens a breach in reality and invites us to perceive the extraordinary power of life, made up of freedom and wild grace.
