“In Cielo In Terra” Exhibition at the Civico Museo Parisi Valle, Italy
From March 29 to June 29, 2026, the Civico Museo Parisi Valle will host In Cielo, In Terra, a major monographic exhibition by Muriel Pénicaud in Italy. For the first time in its history, the museum is devoting all of its spaces to photography. The exhibition is curated by the museum's director, Federico Crimi.
For the latter, exploring worlds other than our own has become a necessity in an era of profound mutual misunderstanding. It is this conviction that has led the Civico Museo Parisi Valle to offer the public a broad, profound, and poetic view of the entire world: that of Muriel Pénicaud.
The exhibition offers visitors an overview of Muriel Pénicaud's work through sixty black-and-white photographs divided into four sections (trees, birds, humanity, and landscapes), inviting them to inhabit the world poetically, between the inspiration of the sky and the gifts of the earth. The photographer invites us to share her quest for an intimate spirituality, embodied in what connects the earth to the sky: trees, birds, and human souls.
In this journey, Muriel Pénicaud does not choose the spectacular, but rather the poetry of everyday moments. Her gaze opens a window onto reality and invites us to perceive the extraordinary power of life, made up of freedom and wild grace.
