Women's Espoir | May 19 — July 24, 2026, Club We Are, Lille

The We Are Club is hosting the " Femme Espoir " exhibition from May 19 to July 24, 2026, at 22 Place Louise de Bettignies, Lille.

For me, photography has never been a trivial act; it is the poetry of my life. That is why, for me, it has always been inseparable from my commitment to gender equality.

Women, the backbone of the global formal and informal workforce, are still underpaid, underrecognized, and denied equal opportunities. Breaking through the glass ceiling is a cause I have championed my entire life. But equality cannot exist without ending violence against women, embracing diversity, and encouraging young girls to dare to dream big. My photography seeks to reveal what lies hidden, to expose what oppresses, and to celebrate those precious moments when, in the face of adversity, women fully embody their life force and their dreams.

Photographing women of all generations and cultures goes beyond mere observation. It means standing by their side, sharing in their struggles, fears, and hopes. Every woman I meet embodies all women. In each one, I see my daughter, my granddaughter, my mother, my sister, my ancestor. Generations intertwine, and time becomes a fleeting concept.

These photographs are much more than just images; above all, they are stories. They invite us to pause, to look at things differently, to feel what cannot be expressed in words. Each photograph is a story, an emotion, a question. Through them, I share a part of who I am, of what moves me, of what has given me hope. I hope they resonate with you and, in turn, inspire further action.

Opening reception for "Femme Espoir " on May 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Club We Are, 22 Place Louise de Bettignies, Lille.
