2nd edition of the Power of Connection Prize by Sakura
Building on the enthusiasm generated by its first edition, the Power of Connection Prize by Sakura returns in 2026 to highlight the stories and connections that bring us together.
Organized by La Puissance du Lien and the Sakura Fund, this competition invites everyone to explore, through their lens, the many faces of human and social connection. More than a competition, it celebrates emotion, diversity, and collective memory, giving a central place to visual narratives that illustrate the encounters, transmissions, and anchoring of connections in our territories.
2026 Theme: "A photo, a story, a connection"
The image is more than a snapshot: it is a universal language, a silent narrative that connects those who create it to those who view it. The competition invites participants to explore, through their photographic gaze, the multiple facets of human and social connection. These axes are invitations, not constraints: the key is to tell the story of a connection.
2026 Thematic Axes:
· Women and men: illustrate the meeting, dialogue, or contrast between genders, in everyday or exceptional life scenes.
· Intergenerational relationships: capture the transmission, legacies, and perspectives between generations, within or outside the family circle.
· Territories: show how places — cities, villages, landscapes, living spaces — shape and nurture human connections.
These axes are invitations, not constraints: the key is to tell the story of a connection.
Participation details
Each participant can submit up to a maximum of three images, i.e. one image per theme.
A supporting text is mandatory: this should be a short narrative recounting the personal or collective story linked to the photograph. The jury will examine all images anonymously, without knowing the identity of the authors.

Categories:
• Young People (12–25 years)
• Over 25s (amateurs or professionals)
Awards:
• 6 prizes (2 per category) with a value of €500 each, financed by the Sakura Fund
• 1 Public Prize with a value of €1,000, financed by the Sakura Fund
With the support of GRK for the printing of the photos and the creation of the catalogue.
