Muriel Pénicaud - Interview for the website Monopoli.gr
Giota Efthymoudi Minoudi, for the Monopoli.gr website, interviewed Muriel Pénicaud during her visit to Athens as part of the "Franco-Hellenic Applied Dialogues." Around the theme of Shaping The Future, Muriel Pénicaud will participate in a series of events and inaugurate the photographic exhibition Matrix of Worlds on September 17, at the Hellenic American Union.
The interview explores how Muriel Pénicaud's social commitment fuels her perspective as a photographer. For her, photography is a way to explore the world and express her sensitivity, creating series that highlight work, nature, and women's freedom.
She also shares her vision of art and recounts how her photographs affect viewers:
Bretanos is that talented artist who cried like never before in front of one of her images. She is the friend who says that she no longer walks in the forest in the same way, since Muriel's photos gave her the desire to touch and embrace the trees. There are more than a hundred people who have shared their personal interpretation, different for each one, of "Who are you?", Muriel's emblematic photograph of a strong and mysterious bird. This miracle of the meeting of gazes deeply nourishes and rejoices her.
