Muriel Pénicaud – Interview with “Kathimerini”, published in the international edition of the New York Times
Invited to Athens as part of the Franco-Hellenic Applied Dialogues, Muriel Pénicaud spoke with Kathimerini English Edition.
Kathimerini is a major Greek daily newspaper. Its English-language version, Kathimerini English Edition, is published in partnership with The New York Times International Edition. As a result, some pages of the Greek edition in English are included in the international edition of The New York Times.
In this exchange, she reflected on the major reforms she led while in government, notably the reform of labor law in France and the creation of a gender equality index within companies.
"For me, it's not three different worlds — that is my life, and I feel committed in these three fields. Politics was more of a chapter, but business, society and photography are a long-term commitment," she tells journalist Aris Dimitrakopoulos.
She also emphasizes the need for Europe to collectively face the economic and technological challenges ahead by fostering cooperation between companies and talents from member states, particularly between France and Greece.
"The French tech and the Greek tech have a lot to do together," she adds. "We are not strangers, we are cousins."
