Exhibition “You Really Know Where You Are. For the First Time in History,” presented at the UNICORN Center for Art in Beijing

In 2017, the exhibition "You Really Know Where You Are. For the First Time in History," presented at the UNICORN Center for Art in Beijing, brought together international artists to explore themes of identity, media, utopia, and alternative realities. Through a variety of media such as photography, film, installations, sculpture, and painting, this exhibition questioned the relationship between fantasy and reality, while revealing the fragility of contemporary utopias.

A tribute to Brave New World
Inspired by Aldous Huxley's dystopian novel Brave New World, the exhibition was part of a critical reflection on the social and technological changes of our time. One hundred years after Huxley taught at Eton, where George Orwell was among his students, this artistic project forged links between the past and the future through works that conveyed contrasting narratives and visions.

Among the artists featured, Muriel Pénicaud contributed photographs from her series “Wind under the Wings, revealing a poetic and introspective approach to the evolution of the world.

A striking exhibition that brought together alternative visions, powerful symbols, and a critique of the present through a resolutely innovative artistic perspective.
