Muriel Pénicaud in Hyderabad, India
Invited by Aquin Mathews, director of the festival, Muriel Pénicaud exhibited at the State Art Gallery as part of the Indian Photo Festival and hosted a discussion on her career and artistic approach. During her lecture in Hyderabad, Muriel Pénicaud recounted her unique journey, which combines photography, social engagement, political and economic responsibilities, and her humanist convictions. Since her adolescence, her actions have been guided by a single guiding principle: to contribute in a fair and meaningful way to the world around her.
Photography, which she describes as a language that is vital to her and universal, allows her to reveal "the poetry of fleeting moments" and to share her social commitment, whether it be a bird in flight, a thousand-year-old tree, or a woman's gaze. She explores freedom, the power of life, women's quest for justice, and the spiritual beauty of everyday life. For her, art connects us and helps us imagine the future by opening our eyes and hearts.
The exhibition Matrix of Worlds, presented as part of the Indian Photo Festival, was on display from November 26 to January 4, 2026, at the State Art Gallery.
During her visit to Hyderabad, Muriel Pénicaud also gave a lecture on the future of work. Organized in partnership with the Alliance Française in Hyderabad, this event was held on November 24, 2025, at the Bower School of Entrepreneurship (RMZ Spire), moderated by Kamal Krishnan.
The room brought together entrepreneurs, students, teachers, and business leaders. In a context where artificial intelligence, ecological transition, demographic shift, and changing attitudes toward work are rapidly redefining professional skills, Muriel Pénicaud offered an analysis of the challenges and opportunities facing the global , and local workforce. She emphasized the need to develop true professional agility and the ability to engage in continuous learning throughout one's life.
Thanks to Pavan Allena, founder and director of the Bower School of Entrepreneurship, Kamal Krishnan, who moderated the discussion as an expert in marketing and brand strategy, and Maud Miquau and Jwalitha Kallam from the Alliance Française in Hyderabad for organizing this conference.
