Wind into the Soul

Children and birds share the ability to take flight and the promise of life. Children mirror our past.

Photographing them means immersing ourselves in our dreams, anxieties, wonders, sufferings, endless questioning, and a wisdom that only the two extremes of life fully reveal.

Childhood remains forever the lost continent of our own mystery, which only art sometimes allows us to reach, for a fleeting moment. We must crouch down, look up to contemplate the child ready to take flight, like a bird, and listen to their cry, their joy, their silence. Then, they carry us away into poetry.
