"The Shadow of Your Dreams" in the newspaper Le Soleil

The daily newspaper Le Soleil has published a wonderful article on the exhibition L’Ombre de tes rêves(The Shadow of Your Dreams), written by Mamadou Oumar Kamara. This photographic exhibition by Muriel Pénicaud is currently on display in two iconic locations: at the Musée de la Photographie in Saint-Louis (MuPho Les Comptoirs) until November 30, and in Dakar, at MuPho La Galerie (Fann Corniche Ouest, Résidence Yara) until early July.

In this interview, Muriel Pénicaud confides:

"What I seek through photography is a light in immortality. I want to capture a moment, a gesture, a breath, and make it last beyond the moment."

L’Ombre de tes rêves brings together black-and-white photographs accompanied by poems by Birago Diop and Rennie Yotova in a poetic dialogue between words and images.
